Akropolis in Lafayette

Last week my gyro was great. Today I got hard stale pita and called to tell them and I was told it has to be cooked and I need to ask for soft pita. I explained it wasn't that they this pita was incredibly hard. I was told, I don't know what to tell you. Customer service isn't the best. It wasnt a fluke. We had 2 sandwich with inedible pita.

Never been disappointed. Delicious food, generous portions, excellent customer service! Casual dining, family friendly, a real gem!

I love going to this place because the Gryos are good the family that owns this place to get gyros is very very nice the customer service is amazing you’re going to enjoy the Gyro there I haven’t tasted anything other than the Gyro with the fries there so if you want a great tasting gyro you can get it there While getting a good portion of meat.

Very good Greek food for a very good price. The service is friendly and family oriented. Dining in is the best option, but carry out is fast and convenient.

Great family restaurant. Food is good, especially the soap.

Only thing I don't like is you gotta pay double for a double cheese burger. It should be on the menu, however if requested they will make it. Other than that, they all good 👍

The food was good not great. The chicken was a bit dry and lacked any flavor. The portion size was good for the price. The dinner plate came with a side salad, pita bread and rice. The place was pretty empty maybe because of weekday. The service was acceptable. Not a 4+ star place like some other reviews mentioned. Maybe I need to try something else there to see if I can change my perception of this place.

I got a chicken gyro and my husband got the classic, there was so much food we could have split one. They were both delicious and were prepared quickly. Also we ordered the large fries and there were a ton. Definitely going back.

Had the ribs. Very tender, great locally owned business. The menu has a lot of variety. Come here for your lunch for a quick meal.

The Food & Service is Great

Fast and so good! The service is always fantastic and quick! We love the Gyros and fries.

These folks got pretty good food and customer service. They give some pretty large portions of food. Took me a minute to figure out how to eat my gryo it was so big. The gyro meat was pretty good and they shave it off a giant meat spindle right in front of you. Nice restaurant and bathrooms. They also have their own parking lot too that is pretty open and clean.

My experience there was wonderful the family was great and friendly the food was delicious and the portions was plentiful I really enjoy the taste great place to go

Great food, great service. This place is simple, but really good. Also, their pita bread is great, where many other Greek places cut corners and use lower quality pita, but not at the Akropolis, it's great. Try their green bean, they're different, but good!

Best gyros in Lafayette. Cooked on the spit as they should be unlike some other places in town that act like they do... Freshly made to order. Fries are always fresh made as well. Can definitely recommend as the best around

Delicious gyros, super tasty Aveglemeno soup, and really yummy cheese fries!Don't be put off if you happen to feel reminded of the soup..."guy"...from Seinfeld when you place your order. Totally worth it! 🤣

Almost like NY, I grew up visiting a specific Greek restaurant as a kid with all the familiar scents of the Mediterranean to make my mouth water. Acropolis brings me back to those memories. A great small Greek restaurant with an awsome staff, generous portins & a cook hat cares about you.

Spinach pie was over cooked too tough to eat. Baklava wasn't traditional. Salad was good. Greek dressing not properly imulsified....greasy and lacking flavor. Gyro meat is tender and properly seasoned....but how can you go wrong with something mass produced and shipped to you with cooking directions? Expensive af for no reason. It's on my personal black list.

Akropolis is excellent. Small little place I didn't realize I needed. Delicious little Greek diner with friendly staff who serve quick, tasty food.

Medditerian salad was amazing while the chicken gyro sandwich was below average in taste. Cleanliness of the restaurant was better than most Greek restaurants. The staff was professional and courtesy. Will definitely repeat for more of their amazing Mediterranean salad with Gyro meet. Check them out as the food and overall experience is a good value!
